"Living and working in Berlin is unique experience, and very enriching. The city never sleeps, and provides something for every possible age group, taste and interest. It has more than 100 museums, and more theatres, opera houses and music venues, clubs, discos, restaurants, exhibitions, events, art galleries etc. than it is possible to visit in 3 months, the duration of the programme. The sight-seeing programmes provided were a great way to experience more of the city and environs, and orient yourself for planned future lists of ‘things to do, places to go and people to see…’. Coming here once means you know you will come again, …and again…

The organisation and support provided by the sending organisation, ETS, and the host organisation, urban-consult, meant that the worries about travel, finding a suitable job, legal work requirements, and finding accommodation were taken care of, and any problems that could arise could be shared and sorted out. It was a wonderful way to gain confidence in my own ability to live and work in Germany, and being able to share the experience with a friendly, enthusiastic group of ‘Leonardo’ participants gave the finishing touches to an invaluable and unforgettable experience."
